Ella just finished her second season of dance at the YMCA here. It ended with a dance recital for the parents to watch. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go because both Seth and Kyle were sick with the stomach bug. So, Emily and Ella pranced off to the event and I rolled up my sleeves to continue the care-taking/janitorial duty that Emily had performed all day. Thankfully, Emily took the camera and got some good video. I was able to enjoy Ella’s show with her on the couch when she got back home. In the video, I love how she’s the only one mouthing the words to the song. She’s really into it!
I’m not sure I’m ready for my little five year old girl to go to school, but she is really pumped about it. Last night in our prayer time before bed, she made sure that we prayed that she would find some good new friends at school.
Tonight, Ella and I went on another one of our “daddy dates”. This one involved dinner at Chick-Fil-A and a walk through Target for small gifts for the kids. Seth got a new hot wheel, Ella got a Strawberry Shortcake coloring book and colored pencils, and Kyle got a package of mango Ella’s Kitchen baby food. Ella wanted Kyle to enjoy a “desert”, and she really like the name of that particular brand. She really enjoys our daddy dates. I always tell her that she and mom are my favorite girls. I love my Ella, and I’m so proud of who she is and how God will use her for His glory. And, I can’t think of a better big sister for Seth and Kyle!
