Kyle is one funny guy. He’s shown us he has been capable of walking for a while now, so his first steps have happened, but we had not documented it well. So, these are technically his first steps captured digitally at the fun house. Since he’s been teasing us for some time, it wasn’t quite the over the top celebration as on Seth’s big walking day for obvious reasons. Seth has Down syndrome, so his journey to walking was a determined struggle.
He will walk fifty yards if someone lightly touches his hand, but he acts like all of his weight was depending on that hand if you take it away and immediately falls to the ground. He does this while making a “uuuuhh” sound, which means, “I’m trying to sound like I’m scared of walking on my own” but really I’m just not ready to walk all the time. It’s funny. I think if he were our first, we would think he needed some sort of intervention. After seeing Seth work so hard to get to this milestone, we just think it’s funny that Kyle is carrying on this way. So, bottom line, he can walk. We’ll let you know when he gives up the pretense and just walks all the time. Enjoy the video!

Love that little guy’s personality so much! I can’t wait to see it unfold as he gets older!
Little toot. I might let him do whatever he wants.
That is SO sweet, Emily! I love that you have it on video. What a big boy!
Almost as sweet as Karis, but she’s a girl so she wins.
Who wouldn’t want to run to a mom like that and who wouldn’t be thrilled to have a little guy like that running into your arms! Wow!
