Emily and Seth are in sync with nursing. Em’s milk came in last night. He finally got the good stuff and was chugging it down at the 5 a.m. feeding. Praise God for that.

Visits to the hospital

Share Button

So many have asked to come visit us and see our sweet boy, however Seth’s NICU unit doesn’t allow visitors and we are spending the large majority of our time with him, rather than in our room. THANK YOU for your messages to us- we feel your prayers and support and look forward to introducing you to him once we’ve settled in at home. Pray for a good report and discharge papers on Sunday- we praise God for you! Stay tuned to this site for the latest updates.

Another update

Em just filled out the consent form for the circumcision. The pediatrician indicated that they would not do the circumcision until the day Seth would go home. So, we are thinking that he might get the nod to go home tomorrow. Pray that we are guessing correctly. If the cardiologist sees that the valve has closed and that his oxygen levels are staying strong, then he will definitely be ready.

Update on Seth’s NICU status

Share Button

The doctor told the NICU nurse to take Seth’s supplemental oxygen down 50%. That’s a good sign that Seth may be ready to go home. Just pray that he would mantain good oxygen levels tonight and tomorrow morning so that we may take him home then.

What Seth is working with: Patent Ductus Arteriosus, How the Heart Works

He is a normal birth weight baby, so it’s not as serious as it would be if he were a preemie. Pray that this valve closes.
